Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET) is one among the top ten self-financing Engineering Institutions in the state of Karnataka, providing high quality education to bring out skilled engineers and technocrats.The Bapuji Educational Association is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in karnataka. It came into existence in 1958 with the sole purpose of starting a first grade college in Davangere. It intended to cater to the needs of those who aspired for higher educaiton. All the lovers of higher education volunteered their service whole heartedly in building up this association. Money flowed in as the donors contributed splendidly. Though imparting higher education to the aspirants was the Association's main objective, it gave attention to start a wide range of schools and colleges according to the situational needs and demands.
Over a period of 47 years, the BEA has given birth to almost identical number of babies, the latest one being the SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Hospital. All these babies, some of which have now become adults and some others old, are hale and hearty. The association has taken every care, at every step to facilitate the smooth growing of all its family members. The evolution of the Bapuji Educational Association has led to the significant growth of Davangere. Many elders, education lovers, philanthropists and donors with their vision and commitment to the cause of service are behind this healthy and prosperous growth of the association.

Admission Details of BIET, Davangere :-
Admission to B.E.Course :-A pass in II PUC/Intermediate/10+2 or any other equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology/Electronics as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study with an minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects (40% of marks for SC.ST.CAT-1 and OBC category).
Admission TO M.Tech Courses:-
Admission is open to all candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other University recognised by this University or any other examinations recognised by this University as equivalent with not less than 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST) of the marks in the aggregate in the examinations of the semester considered for the declaration of class.
The selection is based on the performance in the qualifying examination, written test and personal interview. Preference will be given to candidates qualified in GATE.
Admission TO M.C.A Course:-
A pass in Bachelor's Degree of minimum of three years duration with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate of all the years (45% for sc/st category) provided that 50% of marks in Mathematics or statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects at Degree/10+2 Level (45% for sc/st).
Note: PGCET/K MAT/AIEEE/GATE Rank/ score is required for Management quota admission also.
