B.M.S. Institute of Technology is a private Engineering College
located in the outskirts of Bangalore and is a sister concern of the BMS
College of Engineering (a government college). Functioning under the umbrella
of the B.M.S. Educational trust, this institute was founded by Mr.
Narayana, son of Mr. Srinivasaiah (founder of the BMS Educational Trust)
in the year 2002.
The college is located on the Doddaballapur main road which is about five kilometers from Yelahanka and 12 kilometers from the Bengaluru International Airport. This institute is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University and has received the status of a Research Institution by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in the year 2005. This institute is also approved by AICTE in New Delhi.
It offers Bachelor of Engineering degrees in the following disciplines:
The campus spread over 21 acres of land and supports a good infrastructure. It has an Amphitheatre, Cafeteria, Library, Hostel and an onsite branch of Allahabad Bank. The campus also has an internet center and a restricted Wi-Fi access through the strategic points allocated around the campus.
The library was initially started in a small room in 2002 and now is home for almost 20000 books and journals. It is fully computerized.The college has two hostel blocks for boys inside the campus and one ladies hostel off-campus with a free shuttle service to the college campus.
The placement cell engages in training the students through personality development sessions and technical workshops to get a good placement.
