Think of Mechanical
Engineering and you think of machines. However, the traditional understanding
of mechanical engineering being limited to machines and automobile industry has
expanded quite a bit to incorporate new technology and evolving domains within
its ambit. Today, mechanical engineering deals with innovative and up &
coming fields like nanotechnology, robotics, biomedical engineering, artificial
intelligence and others. Being an evolutionary realm, mechanical engineering
has transformed itself with the rise of new technology avenues and opportunities
and has become an integral part of our modern day life. Along with the
expansion in the scope of this field, there has also been diversification and
evolution of mechanical engineering institutes and colleges that offer academic
programmes in this domain.
How
to become a Engineer?
With academic and
professionals opportunities galore, engineering has emerged to be one of the
most sought after engineering option for students today. Students keen to
become engineers need to enroll for a degree programme like B.E.(Bachelor of
Engineering) or B.Tech.(Bachelor of Technology) in engineering from an
Engineering College, Institution or University. Apart from these, students can
also look at certificate and diploma courses offered by different institutes in
order to begin their mechanical engineering education. In addition to excellent
professional opportunities, engineering also serves as a field of study that
offers numerous opportunities of further studies to students.
With different
specialization options, rankings and types of academic courses being offered by
different institutes; picking the right mechanical engineering college has
become a cumbersome task. To help students looking to build a bright and
fruitful future in this domain, we have listed down the top mechanical
