The Belimatha Trust was established in 1975 by Sree Sree Charamurthy Shivarudra Mahaswamiji. Basava academy of engineering Bangalore is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by AICTE New Delhi and Affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU). The institute provides a number of modern facilities within its sprawling campus. The college is located on a sprawling area of 10 acres of land and has 60 experienced and all well qualified teaching faculty and 15 supporting staff. The college library has a collection of 10000 Volumes.
