About SJM Institute of Technology (SJMIT), Bangalore:-

SJM Institute of technology, Bangalore was founded in the academic year 1980-81, with blessings of then president of SJM Vidyapeetha Sri Mallikarjuna Murugharajendra Mahaswamiji. Located just adjacent to the National Highway-4, SJMIT has a clean green campus with all facilities spread over a vast area of 35 acres. The college is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, approved by Govt. of Karnataka and affiliated to Visveswariah Technological University (VTU) Belgaum.  We are one of the recognized and authorized institutes to transfer the technology and courses offered by the joint collaboration of VTU Belgaum and C-DAC (Center for the development of advanced computing) Government of India.

SJMIT Principal’s Message:-

SJM Institute of Technology is located at Chitradurga, central part of Karnataka, an ancient city which is having a grand history of many centuries. Chitradurga is a picturesque fort city; it is just 200 KM from the capital city of Karnataka, well connected by National Highway No. 4 and Railways.
SJM Institute of Technology was established in the year 1980-81 with the blessing of the then pontiff his holiness Sri Mallikarjuna Murugarajendra Mahaswamiji. The main intension was to educate and provide opportunity to the rural students to grow up as Engineers and to generate a team of leaders in building nation.
SJM Institute of Technology is situated in a vast, clean, green environment campus of 35 acres. It has produced over 4000 engineers till today and since past three years, 691 engineers from various engineering disciplines have got graduated and are serving at various levels in this competitive world.
Our institution has eight UG programs and one PG course. Till date, 102 university ranks are bagged by students of our institution (From Mysore University, Kuvempu University and Visveswaraiah Technological University). The institute is reinforced with experienced, highly qualified and dedicated faculty in all branches.
Labs facilities, computer center and library for the academic development of the students, other facilities like boy’s hostel, separate girls hostel, playgrounds, indoor games, gymnasium, reading rooms, canteen and other student requirements / amenities also exist in the campus.
