Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Engineering, Egattur was established in 2001 with an objective of imparting quality Engineering education and developing the required ethical values and personality traits, thereby moulding the young students into dynamic and talented engineers to meet the challenging requirements of the industries in a rapidly industrializing India and also the diverse societal needs of the nation.The Trust administers 19 schools and colleges in Kilakarai, Ramnad and Chennai. The whole gamut of higher education from arts and science to physiotherapy and nursing to engineering to medical sciences is covered under the Trusts’ operation. Master of Engineering or Master of Technology or Master of Science in Technology or Master of Engineering degree is a postgraduate program in engineering or technology field.ME/MTech degree program exposes students to a wide range of courses, combined with specialized research which culminates in a thesis. Such a combination gives students the breadth and depth necessary for pursuing careers in academics as well as industry.The residence requirements for ME/MTech program is four semesters. However, it is possible to get permission to spend one semester elsewhere. If someone wants to carry out the thesis work in a company, or at some other educational institution, it is allowed by the Institute.The scope of the course varies from material research to machinery development, Nano Technology, Smart materials, Aerospace Technology, Missiles technology, CAD/CAM, FMS, CIM, Automation and such other interrelated developments.
