Nimra College of Engineering and Technology (NCET), Vijayawada was established in 1997 by Nimra Educational Society. NCET is affiliated to Jawarharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college is recognized and known as the best college for Engineering education in costal Andhra. NCET provides its students with modern educational facilities while retaining traditional values, as well as using its strong industrial contacts to mould young, talented individuals who can compete in the global arena.
The college aims at imparting high quality excellent education in Engineering and Technology to all categories of students. Today, NCET offers full-time education and training in 6 branches of engineering at under graduate level and 11 courses at post graduate level with a yearly intake of 660 and 300 respectively. At NCET they provide quality technical education to both urban and rural students from Andhra Pradesh as well as from other states in India.
