Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT), Mumbai was established in 1992. it's related to to school of Bombay and by All Republic of India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), New Delhi.
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology was shifted to the permanent campus at Survey No.161 & CTS No.1376/1/48, Juhu-Versova Link Road. It is built on more than 5 acres of land covering 16500 sq m of actual built up area alongside the green and luxurious Versova beach.
The institute was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology within the memory of the nice son of land, Shri Rajiv Gandhi within the year 1998. Admission Details of RGIT Mumbai:-

The candidate seeking admission to the 1st year BE Degree Course should have passed the 2nd PUC / 10+2 higher secondary education or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the optional subjects as Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology, or Computer Science.
In case of SC, ST& OBC the minimum aggregate marks in the above said optional subjects shall not be less than 40% in the qualifying examination..
